What is Interact Media?

Interact Media is another place that freelance writers can make some cash. They require you to do an initial article so that they can rate your writing skills. Once you are rated, you can claim assignments that match your rating. Of course, how much you're paid depends on your rating. They also offer payments for affiliate work.

Interact pays twice a month through PayPal. The site takes a percentage of your wages in return for providing you with assignments.

Personally, this sounds like Textbroker and some other low-paying sites I've seen. Has anyone tried them before? How much do they pay on average?

  1. Interesting that you keep posting rather negative reviews of writing sites that you've never even tried - and even ask readers to give you information about them.

Yet, you tell your readers that they can't make money without doing 'real' writing jobs that require authority and research. Doesn't it seem like if you are trying to make money off your blog (which is what I'm assuming you are trying to do), you'd sign up for all the writing sites, do test assignments for them, and find out for yourself what it's like writing for them and how much they pay.

Then you could write about them with authority -- because you'd done the basic research needed to have an opinion and write about them.

Is it my imagination, or does every struggling writer have a blog, writing about writing, in hopes of making money... instead of just writing for money?

  2. LOL, you comment makes me laugh. Obviously, you've never read my blog or you would know that I do write for these sites. I give them a try and if they stink, I tell my readers. I haven't tried this one, though, which is why I was asking for opinions.
Also, I am not a "struggling writer." I have been a published writer for more than 13 years and I support my family with my earnings and have done so for most of the time I have been a writer. This blog is to help other writers to avoid pitfalls. It is obvious from your comments that you are clueless to how things work in the real world.
It is very easy to criticize people behind the veil of anonymous posts. How cowardly.
